Production notes
The shooting was done during July 4-August 5, 2007, with each story
taking 5 to 6 days to shoot. Shooting was done with HD format. Each
story was done in different locations: China town of Jakarta, Yogyakarta
(Central Java), Cibinong (West Java), and in the Thousand Islands. It
was a challenge to do four consecutive -albeit short- films with limited
resources and such diversity in background, setting, and mood. Only
with the help of dedicated cast and crew were we able to finish the
project.
Chants of Lotus is an omnibus film consisting of four short films, and
combined, has a total running time of 106 minutes.The film is scheduled for a theater release in Indonesia in January 17th, 2008. |
